Man charged with kidnapping in Salford
A second man has been charged after a man was abducted and seriously wounded.

Alexander Valensky (born 21/7/87), of no fixed abode, has been charged with kidnap and false imprisonment.

He appeared before Salford Magistrates Court today, Thursday 25 February 2010, and is next due before Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court on 10 May 2010.

On Tuesday 10 November 2009, police became aware of a man being abducted in Salford.

The 27-year-old was safe from harm shortly afterwards though needed hospital treatment for serious wounds.

Ashley Clarke (born 27/12/87) of Barkway Road, Stretford has been charged with kidnapping, blackmail, wounding with intent, false imprisonment and attempted blackmail.
