Efit released following Weaste robbery
An efit of a man wanted in connection with a street robbery in Salford has been released by police. At 12.40am on Saturday 3 December 2011, a 34-year-old man was walking along Weaste Lane, Weaste when he was approached by two men. One of them walked up to him and threatened to stab him if he did not give them any money. He gave them his wallet before they walked off along Weaste Lane, in the opposite direction of Eccles Old Road. The first man is described as being white, of stocky build and was wearing a dark puffer jacket, hat and blue scarf. The second man is described as being white, of slim build and had a thin, gaunt face. He was wearing a grey hooded jacket. Police Constable Fiona Butler from the Volume Crime Team said: "The victim has obviously been left shaken by this incident and he believed they would have hurt him if he had not handed over his wallet. "We are keen to speak to two people who may have witnessed the robbery. One man was riding a bike near to where the offenders were walking and the victim approached another man to tell him what happened and warned him the that he was walking in the same direction as these men. "If you recognise the image or saw the incident take place, I would urge you to contact police."
