Police Appeal - Heavily pregnant woman missing
Cheshire Police have issued this nationwide appeal to find pregnant and vulnerable missing woman Claire Cooper. Efforts to trace 22-year-old Claire (pictured right) have been ongoing by officers since she was reported missing from a temporary address in King Street, Macclesfield at 11.30pm on Friday 13 January. Claire is described as white, around 180cm tall and of heavy build. She has shoulder length dark hair and when last seen she was dressed in a pink top, a blue cardigan and grey tracksuit bottoms, carrying a large shoulder bag. Claire has established links in the Rochdale area and Police are making enquiries to establish whether she may have travelled back to the Manchester or Salford area. Superintendent Martin Cleworth said "We are very concerned for Claire′s welfare, particularly as she is a heavily pregnant lady and was not dressed appropriately for last nights cold weather. "Similarly we have concerns about Claire′s current emotional state and urge her to get in touch with police or a family member as matter of urgency. I′d ask that anyone who knows Claire, or anyone who may have seen anyone matching Claire′s description since 11.30 last night, contact us. "I would also appeal directly to Claire herself - to please phone Cheshire Police or your nearest police station." Anyone with any information should contact Cheshire Police on 101.
