Chemical leak in Irlam latest
Shortly before 8.20am on Wednesday 25 January 2012, police were called by the Fire Service to Irlam Industrial Estate following reports of a chemical leak.

Officers have assisted the fire service to safely put in place a cordon with a 100m radius.

A number of industrial units were evacuated as a precautionary measure. There are no road closures.

No injuries have been reported and no houses have had to be evacuated.
